Resolved Question: In Lake County, CA...?

I've lived in Santa Rosa my whole 16 years, and I'm curious about our neighboring county, Lake. I heard it snows a lot on some mountains there like Cobb and a little snow on the towns. Now I'm wondering, would it be worth it for a one-hour drive up there with my family to see some snow and possibly do something there? Are any of the little towns cool and are there any activities that are snow-related, like skiing? And is it nice?
